In a tragic incident on Saturday night, a road accident on National Highway-31 in Bamunpara, Alipurduar, resulted in the death of a young man and left another seriously injured. The victims, residents of Kodalbasti, were returning home from Alipurduar on a motorcycle when a car collided with their bike. The impact of the collision caused severe injuries to both youths. On noticing the incident, local residents rushed them to Latabadi Hospital for immediate medical attention.
Upon reaching hospital, one of the youths, identified as Arpan Toppo, was declared dead by the doctors. The other youth's condition was deemed critical, prompting his referral to Alipurduar District Hospital. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident to ascertain the circumstances leading to the tragic accident on National Highway-31.
